Original Vintage Aviation Poster from the first series commissioned by Swissair in 1961 from Nikolaus Schwabe – here featuring a pipe-smoking Appenzeller in front of a cow, to advertise the Swiss airline abroad. The distinctive, three-dimensional collage motifs are inspired by Schwabe’s sculptural studies in the mid-1940s with Fernand Léger in Paris.
