Roaring lion, sturdy tankard and magnificent head notwithstanding: It’s only when properly staged that beer becomes a drama. And a brand. Then there’s no need for embellishment – the product speaks for itself; it doesn’t get any more direct than that. A consistently executed Original Vintage Object Poster, designed in 1927 by Otto Baumberger on the occasion of the only just renaming of the Aktienbrauerei Zürich to Löwenbräu Zürich (after the small, recently acquired brewery in Dietikon).
Löwenbräu, for its part, was acquired by the Hürlimann Brewery in 1984, which closed down the facility in 1986.
