Swiss Original Vintage Poster based on a photograph, using around 1920 the unmistakable bright yellow carriages of the Bernina Railway to advertise the spectacular route (together with the Albula Railway, which ends in St. Moritz, now a Unesco World Heritage Site), with Piz Cambrena in the background.
The line, which went into operation in 1908, is now part of the Rhaetian Railway, but remains the highest railway line in Europe, also known as the «Roof of the RhB», connecting St. Moritz in the Engadin via – surprise, surprise – the Bernina Pass (the Ospizio Bernina is 7,370 feet above sea level) with Tirano in Italy.
