Swiss Original Vintage Poster, designed in 1943 by Peter Birkhäuser for the Rheinbrücke department store in Basel applying the style of the Neue Sachlichkeit (New Objectivity) – and a poster that, given the objects depicted for maximum utility, could only have been printed during the Second World War. On the other hand, Swiss companies were at least in a position to advertise consumer goods.
