Original Poster, designed in 1946 by Iwan Edwin Hugentobler (1896 – 1972), of whose nearly 80 Posters perhaps four or five had nothing to do with horses. As the son of a farrier and later as a cavalryman, he gained profound knowledge of these animals – which he further refined in the early 1920s through studies at the Zurich Veterinary Hospital.
