One of the extremely rare old original posters advertising Swiss football clubs – here an exemplar drawing attention to FC Basel, founded in 1893, printed around 1910 as a lithograph in Basel; it was (and still is) not customary to advertise (sports) clubs per se with posters. So we know of only one other sheet advertising FC Basel that is anywhere near as early, and we do not know of a single poster from this era promoting clubs such as FC Zurich or the Grasshopper Club.
