Original Ski Poster, designed and composed from three photographs by Herbert Matter – undoubtedly and together with his DC-2 flying over the Bernina Massif his most impressive work, just bursting with power, health and confidence.
A yet not quite as consistent precursor to this avant-garde poster was created in 1934 as a collaborative work for Grindelwald and the 29th Swiss Ski Race held there in early February 1935:
