Happy people, summer, pool, a magnificent scenery… What a joyful poster. Commissioned 1950 by the aerial cableway Klosters-Gotschnagrat-Parsenn from Alex Stocker, a young artist from the canton of Zug who was a painting globetrotter in the summer and a diligent graphic designer as well as typographer in the winter. It was him who contributed a lot to and curated, with Armin Haab, the first volume of the now-classic Lettera series («A standard book of fine lettering»).
However, there is a sad side too: Stocker only lived to be 27; he suffered from the lack of recognition and perished from it in 1954, so this remained his only poster.
