Original Aviation Poster designed in 1948 by Walter Mahrer to draw attention to the new and, above all, longer concrete runway at Geneva Airport, which heralded the era of intercontinental flights in Switzerland; Swissair, for example, flew across the Atlantic to North America for the first time in the same year. At that time, Zurich Airport was still located in Dübendorf – the Kloten site did not go into operation until the summer of 1950.
