The first of three posters that Charles Loupot (1892 – 1962) created to promote the fashion house founded by Adolf Grieder in Zurich in 1889. To advertise the fall collection of ready-to-wear clothing and fabrics, Loupot designed in his Lausanne atelier a lady wrapped in fiery foliage, ruffled by the wind and with that certain something. A stunning masterpiece by one of the most important creators in the history of posters, in excellent condition and hardly ever on the market.
In 1972, the Geneva-based family business Brunschwig acquired the Grieder company, which is still based at Paradeplatz under its own name, although the management is now based in Geneva (Bongenie Grieder).
