An Original Poster designed in 1916 by the young Otto Baumberger as part of a competition and awarded first prize, which Jelmoli had reprinted in 1933 by a different printing house using newly made stones.
Apparently, the rustic scene and especially the carpet weaver (or is it a weaveress?) wearing a bright red turban and matching harem pants seemed still unusual enough to offer the target bourgeoisie with the Oriental carpets available at Jelmoli exactly what they seemingly were open to: something authentic and truly exotic.
