Original Swiss Poster from the St. Gallen advertising studio of Walter Kern and Arnold Bosshard, promoting the Seiler family’s Mont-Cervin and Victoria hotels in Zermatt with a refreshed approach: After a good forty years in which the Matterhorn was pretty much always the center of attention when it came to Zermatt, the duo probably thought this was rather hackneyed.
However, the iconic mountain could not be completely absent, and so it found a place on the flag. But the eye-catcher is a young, smiling lady in a contemporary outfit and equipment that looks wonderfully traditional today.
