Original Swiss poster by Emil Huber (1883–1943) and rarer than rare, as I haven’t found ANY auction record – so it’s not an exaggeration to claim: This is a black swan. Pure Art Déco, a beauty, and the culmination of every collection of Swiss (interwar) posters, in won-der-ful condition.
The Grand Café Odeon is since its opening in 1911 a veritable institution of Zurich, mainly because it was frequented for decades by literati and artists (Dada!) from all over the world.
