Original Swiss Poster, designed in 1952 by Ronald Kocher (*1929) from Bern to promote Montana (now Crans-Montana) above Sierre in the Valais Alps as a summer vacation and excursion destination. Kocher’s third and last poster for this tourist region.
Kocher was not yet allowed to sign his very first poster design, which was used to promote the Gurtenbahn in 1949 (and which anticipated the present image idea – see below); this was done by his trainer at the time, Hugo Wyler.
