Original Vintage Poster from the first series commissioned by Swissair from Nikolaus Schwabe in 1961 – here using the motif of a geisha to advertise the service of the Swiss national carrier to Japan. The distinctive, three-dimensional collage motifs are inspired by Schwabe’s sculptural studies in the mid-1940s with Fernand Léger in Paris.
