Original Ski Poster, assembled from three pictures – shot possibly by the Valais photographer Telesphore (Télès) Deprez – and printed in 1960 or 1961 on the occasion of the commissioning of the cable car to Mont-Gelé (at the junction of the municipalities of Bagnes, Riddes, and Nendaz).
What began in December 1950 with the opening of the chairlift (some call it a gondola) in Médran is – despite the relatively late start – today considered one of the most attractive: the Verbier 4 Vallées ski area. After the development of the hillside of the Tête des Ruinettes, the Savoleyres region, Les Attelas, and the Lac des Vaux basin, the cable car to Mont-Gelé (3030 m) followes in 1960 in the center of the ski area to also meet the demands of advanced skiers.
